Unit 17, Lesson 2. Grade 7

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, The Ever Merciful

Teacher/ Tahani Showeikh had performed a training lesson for the 7th Grades students.

It was Unit 17, lesson 2

about helping tourists, giving instructions on the road, talking about places.

Teacher/ Tahani used IT, worksheet, cards in her training lesson.

She also used pair work, group work, acting as a warming up and other activities.

Students were excellent participants and effective interactors

School prinicipal and her diputy assistant thanked teacher Tahani for her performance.

All teachers of English staff had attended the lesson and they also thanked Miss Tahani for inviting them to her training lesson.

They also thanked students for excellent participation.

Educational Games

In the Name of Allah, The most Gracious the Ever Merciful

Mr. Maher Sharaf, supervisor of English language teachers, had asked Miss Jehan to perform a session for newly appointed teachers in the Northern Area on behalf of him while he was travelling out.

Miss Jehan has prepared the session which was entitled " Educational Games " and presented it at 11:00 am at Jabalia Girls' Prep. School " B " and it lasted till 1:00 p.m.

Teacher Jehan Started with a brain teaser about " Teaching sterotypes" then she gave each participant a balloon in order to write down a teaching stereotype on it. After participants finished, they all talked about their sterotypes and classified them into positive and negative. Balloons holding negative teaching stereotypes are exploded with a pin.

After that, Teacher Jehan used the LCD screen to give more brainstormings about the definition of a game. She quoted from the German language the definition and asked participants to comment on the definition.

They gave their opinions breifly.

Teacher Jehan asked participants to work out a new activity by matching both halves of the proverbs about animals.

Participants liked this activity too much specially the new proverbs and they tried their best to guess their significances.

Then a debate has been arranged. Teacher/ Jehan divided participants into two groups. Group one was the group of teachers who use games inside their classrooms. Group two was the group who don't use games inside their classrooms. Each group talked about their purpose of using/not using games and reasons behind using/not using them. It was so funny and useful.

Trainer exposed participants into a cartoon about a classroom and she asked trainees to elecit from the cartoon the factors of how to choose a game.

Trainer also asked participants to work in pairs and write the game criteria.

The last phase of the session was an application for some games.

Trainer wrote down games on pieces of papers and folded them. Participants chose their pieces of papers and then play the games written on the papers with the other participants and act if they were students.

They were so happy when performing and presenting new games in front of their collegues.

Evaluation sheets were distributed among them. Most of them were happy with the activities and gave good reaction.

اجتماع مع طالبات البرلمان الطلابي

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

اجتمعت المعلمة المرشدة/ آمال ظاهر مع طالبات البرلمان وذلك لأهداف عدة من بينها:

- التعزيز على القيم والأخلاق من خلال سلوكيات طالبات البرلمان وكيفية العمل على بث السلوكيات الإيجابية بين الطالبات.

- العمل على تعزيز دور مجلس الفصل دون التعدي على صلاحية أحد.

- العمل على نشر المحبة والاحترام بين طالبات الفصل الواحد وبين الفصول.
كما تم عرض أسطوانة خاصة بالسيد مدير عمليات الوكالة السيد جون جنج تتحدث عن دور الوكالة ومساهماتها الفعالة في تنشئة اللاجيء الفلسطيني.

وبينما كانت الطالبات تلقين قصائدهن، كانت لجنة التحكيم تتشاور في الدرجة التي تستحقها كل طالبة مؤكدين على أن جميع الطالبات قد أبدعن في عطائهن وفي كتابتهن، وأن الجرأة التي تحلين بها للوقوف أمام جمهور الطالبات وتقديم ما لديهن من كلمات في حب الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم. ولكن لا بد أن يكون هناك اسم يذكر على أنه الاسم الافضل والصورة الأقرب للاكتمال.

والجميل أن لجنة التحكيم والتي تكونت من مديرة المدرسة/ السيدة نوال المجبر، المديرة المساعدة/ السيدة سماح نجم، معلمتي اللغة العربية المتميزتين/ فاطمة أبو القمصان، و وداد فنانة. بالاضافة للمعلمة المتذوقة/ اعتماد أبو غلوة. الجميل أن لجنة التحكيم قد اختلفت فيما بينها على لقب " الافضل " مما يدل على أن الجميع بالنسبة لهن كان " الافضل " .

ألقت مديرة المدرسة/ السيدة نوال المجبر كلمة شكر لفريق عمل المسابقة وعلى رأس الفريق المعلمة المبدعة/ سناء مطر التي قامت بانتقاء القصائد الأجمل وتذوقت الحس الأدبي لدى الطالبات، وقامت بتشجيعن على الكتابة والإلقاء دون خوف أو رهبة.

كما قامت المعلمة/ اعتماد أبو غلوة، بشكر فريق معلمات اللغة العربية والذي يعمل على تنمية الحس الأدبي والتذوق التعبيري لدى الطالبات، وتنمية مواهبهن والعمل على الرقي بمشاعره والتعبير عنها من خلال الصورة المرسومة بالكلمات.

وقامت المعلمة/ وداد فنانة أيضاً بتحية جمهور الطالبات اللواتي شاركن في المسابقة والطالبات اللواتي أنصت لأدائهن بامعان وحس راق. وشكرت فريق التحكيم على حسن الانصات والعمل على مناقشة أداء وعطاء الطالبات الواحدة تلو الأخرى.

وفي هذه الأثناء كانت الطالبات المشاركات يتبادلن الحديث والتوتر يبدو على الوجوه، فجمال الكلمة في حب الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم قد جمعهن والآن يوحد هدفهن أن يكن الأفضل في التعبير عن هذا الحب.

وقدمت لهن الجوائز وقدمت جوائز الترضية للطالبات الأخريات على وعد وأمل بأن مسابقات كتابة القصيدة الأجمل ستعقد عما قريب.
