One of the most important aspects of learning a second language is the effort to master the sound system of target language. Consequencely, Teacher: Asma'a Abu Quaida has prepared a training material for pronunciation to be applied within three days course for the students.
Miss/Asma'a has performed the session on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for the most brilliant students in the 7th Grade classes. The target group consisted of 28 students who participated effectively during the session. They were eager to learn how to say words cand sounds correctly. Participants were provided with a written material.
The goals of this sessions are:
- use the dictionary and be able to recognise the transcriptions of words.
Miss/ Asma'a used lots of techniques and procedures which varied in order to achieve her main goals. She used games, pair-work, group-work, using dictionaries, free discussions, word charts,... etc
Students summarized what beneifts they acquired. Then teacher/ Asma'a got students' feedback about the session.
Mrs. Nawal ( School Principal ) thanked Miss/ Asma'a for her efforts.
